Chicken stew Recipe:

Hello friends…hope you enjoyed your weekend . I’ve shared a breakfast menu with you for a healthy starting of your day. Today I want to share another healthy dish which you can enjoy at lunch and dinner also. After having so many heavy dishes, snacks at your weekend party , i think you need some healthy and easy to make dish for the starting of a new week.the dish which can be made quickly and will also have to be protein pact . because not everyone have many time to make different types of food after doing their office work. So they need some dish which will take least time but have to be healthy and tasty.  So I’m sharing this recipe with you. This will be a healthy and tasty twist to start a new week.

The dish is called chicken stew. It’s a low fat, protein pact and fibre rich can serve this with steamed rice, roti and bread also.this dish will have so many vegetables and can have only this after workout can be served to your children as a healthy diet.they will enjoy this.

I’m using some baby corn, potato and can put some more veges of your choice. You can add some broccoli , capsicum, papaya will be more healthy.

Ingredients –

  • Chicken pieces (500gm)
  • Potato (4-5)
  • Carrot (4-5)
  • Baby corn (8-10)
  • Onion (2 pieces)
  • Ginger paste ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Garlic paste ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Green chili paste ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Turmeric powder ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Whole cardamom ( 4-5 )
  • Whole cinnamon ( 2-3 sticks )
  • cloves ( 4-5 )
  • Crushed black pepper (1 teaspoon )
  • Salt ( as per taste )
  • Refined oil ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Water ( 3-4 cups )

Preparation –

  • To start our cooking , we have to clean chicken pieces so well.
  • Now take the vegetables.peel them and Cut them into halves and soak in water.
  • Finely slice the onion.

Process –

  1. Take a pressure cooker and heat it. Add 1 teaspoon oil.
  2. Now put whole cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and crushed black pepper in.
  3. Now add the vegetables and fry them in low flame.
  4. Then add the chicken pieces.fry them too with vegetables for 5-8 minutes.
  5. Now add the sliced onion, ginger ,garlic and green chili paste in.cook them together for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Now add turmeric powder and salt to taste. Cook them again for 3-5 minutes.
  7. Now add 3-4 cups of water in and mix it well.if you want thick gravy then add 2 cups of water.
  8. Cover the lid and let 2-3 whistle come the lid when all pressure comes out and taste it.
  9. Your chicken stew is totally ready to serve.enjoy It with rice,  roti or bread and lots of salad.i’m sure you will like it.
